Nikon Z6 III - Hands on // Did they do it right ?
Nikon Z6 III is here. And I must admit. I have big expectation for this camera.
Are we getting a ISO machine? With the same autofocus quality as the Z8 and Z9. I am excited for the flip screen as a vlogger.
I cannot wait for using this out in the field and take it to the extreme.

Owl photography in the forest - Close encounter

It has been over 6 years since I photograph the tawny owl. I went looking for it in 2019, but with no success. The tawny owl is highly nocturnal and not easy to find. I was lucky to come along with a friend that had photograph this bird in an area before. And what happend next was mind blowing. I got the tawny owl in a perfect branch and with his black eyes wide open. What a moment with bird ph...

    Noise argument is invalid though.. The more MP, the more details, not more noise but you see it more clearly because you zoom in more,, and the more MP, the more easy to remove noise without losing details. It's math. I use a 61MP sensor and it has less noise than the 12 MP A7SIII. 24MP today is not optimal for birds/wildlife when you can have 45/50/61 and crop instead of using a 1.4 TC( or both crop and use TC)

    It's a long over due needed up grade looks really good and performance seems to tick all the boxes , but outside of USA the price is way too high when you have to pay in currency other than USD. Z6III is too expensive everywhere right now , like check retail and nikons home page prices for Canada ,Europe UK, Australia and New Zealand they are crazy prices. Most people won't be buying as it is a massive difference in price compared to what Americans are paying with their local currency. It's like Nikon is saying to me , too bad so sad bad luck if you live outside of USA because you will have to over pay, if you want this Z6III camera.

    • @ajc1482
      @ajc1482 4 дня назад

      the issue I have with Sony is the top end lenses are ridiculously priced whereas with Nikon you can get a 500mm f4 for around £1700 And of course the Z6iii is more expensive, it's a brand new camera, the A7 IV is three years old now and at launch it cost around £2400 so it was only £200 cheaper than the Z6III

      It’s a 1sec ring-buffer that runs as soon as you half-press the shutter. So it will then capture that 1sec buffer and store it to the memory card(s) as soon as you full-press. So then you don’t miss critical action-shots if you’re late on the shutter.

    I've been shooting a D500 with the 200-500 f5.6 for years and been very happy with the files I get with the dx21 mp sensor. My concern about the Z6iii is its mp count. At 25 mp fx it seems like I will loose pixel density and resolution if I upgrade. Am I wrong?

    • @bassangler73
      @bassangler73 4 дня назад

      I'm shooting the same setup...Yes you will lose a lot of pixel density..I forget the exact number but a D500 has almost the same pixel density as the Z8 if it were scaled up to FF..I'm hoping Nikon will give us a D500 replacement and bump the mp to 24...

    • @ajc1482
      @ajc1482 4 дня назад

      A bigger concern for me would be the "loss" of 250mm of reach.. having the equivalent of 750mm at 5.6 is really used with wary Wading birds.

      @jackstutts6439 4 дня назад

      @ajc1482 I agree, I love aps-c camera's..Like you said we would need to buy the 800pf or the 500pf which plays nice with tele's...But, yeah, I will take a DX body over FX...We need a DX 24-28 mp built like the Z9 with the best AF Nikon can do...I'm thinking stacked sensor and dual processors...I think it would shock them on sales...But I'm a raptor shooter so this would be a camera for me...

      It got my interest but then I saw the price of £2699 in the UK and thought that I can get a Lumix G9ii and I'm part way to getting another telephoto for that price. I don't care about the sensor size difference in case anyone says 😂 Also for reference a mid range S5ii is going for almost £1k new here in the UK as well so for all the selling and buying I would have to do to change to Nikon it doesn't seem worth it at all.
